Just finished all three shades books and the first knock off. Got my motor humming and purring. Now I would like to be tuned up.
Are these books, authored by women, a plea for men to face their problems and to become better boyfriends, husbands and fathers or more fairy tales with flawed prince charmings to frustrate womankind?

SUMMER OF SPONTENITY
The most fun this summer has not been the planned events or movies but the reactions of the crowds at these happenings.
My BFF and I rushed to the movie theater after work hoping to catch the 7:00pm showing of MAGIC MIKE. SOLD OUT! As was the 7:15, 7:30, 8:00 and 8:15. We bought tickets for the 8:30 and wandered off to a local restaurant that had an outside bar, just to kill some time. The people sitting at the small bar kept us laughing just talking about mundane happenings in their everyday lives.
Noticing the movie time approaching, we filed into the movie theater with about 200 other women and one brave guy. The best part of the movie was the banter the women had with the screen actors. "Take it off Baby and come to momma" It was much more fun than the movie itself. Movie a C, crowd an A.
The 4th of July celebration at the waterfront was another example of boring bands and events. During the break, people of all ages started freestyle dancing to the recorded music. In a matter of minutes, a crowd encircled the dancers and were cheering and clapping. Now I see why the reality talent shows on TV are so popular. The whole sponteanous eruption of talent was so much fun and uplifting. Maybe we should stage happenings and just allow creativity to take over.
