This week I attended a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on a famous, prosperous Island. Santa arrived in a Aston Martin I believe. The whole event was centered on a wealthy shopping street where the retailers offered wine, champagne and goodies. The street was lined with preened, coiffed women of a certain age in towering high heels. Not a single man under sixty, excluding gay men, of course.
Flocks of women were flitting from shop to shop demanding more champagne. Where are all the single heterosexual men? Do they just not like these kind of events? Do we have to go to their hangouts to find them? Are women just dressing up to impress each other? Or is this just a world of women vying for a single nonexistant man fantasy?
